Join us on Saturday, April 23, 2016 to help photograph every tombstone in the historic Pleasant Mound Cemetery.
This project is being conducted in cooperation with BillionGraves.com and MyHeritage.com. Volunteers with smart phones will be asked to photograph and upload images using the BillingGraves App (available for iOS, MicroSoft and Android phones).
We also need volunteers who do not have smart phones…
Meet us at the cemetery at 7:30 on Saturday, April 23:
If you will be photographing with your smart phone, here are the things you need to do in advance:
- Register for a free account on BillionGraves: https://billiongraves.com/myheritage
- Download the Billion Graves App and activate it
- Make sure you have a lot of storage available on your phone to store the pictures you will be taking (delete older pictures, remove music, etc.)
- Make sure your phone is fully charged when you arrive at the cemetery (if you have a charger for your car bring that too just in case)
You do not need to upload the pictures you will be taking until you get back home, so should not utilize any of your mobile data.
If you have any questions feel free to contact Suzan Younger who is coordinationg this project.
